The Nanshan District Industry and Information Technology Bureau has recently launched the district’s first round of automobile sales-promoting activity in 2024.

The event, which attracts over 80 car brands to participate and offers a total subsidy of 80 million yuan (US$11.1million), will run from March 10 to April 15.

To qualify for the car purchase subsidies, individual consumers should buy cars from the participating car dealers and complete vehicle registration with the Traffic Police Bureau of Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau by April 30. 

The subsidy amount is tiered based on the invoice value of a single car purchase. A 4,000-yuan subsidy will be given if the invoice value is between 150,001 yuan and 250,000 yuan, and the subsidy will be 5,000 yuan if the invoice value is between 250,001 yuan and 400,000 yuan.

The subsidy will be 7,000 yuan if the invoice value is between 400,001 yuan and 1 million yuan, and a subsidy of 15,000 yuan will be given if the invoice value is over 1 million yuan.

Eligible consumers can apply for their subsidies online through the event's WeChat miniprogram after their purchases, and the approved subsidies will be directly deposited into their WeChat wallet.
