On the afternoon of Nov. 4, the Green Trip of “Discover Nanshan” activity series held by the Nanshan District Foreign Affairs Office guided nearly 50 expat students and residents to visit ecological parks in Nanshan District, which offered participants a chance to explore Nanshan’s ecological environment and ecotechnology.

The first destination, the Shenzhen Soil and Water Conservation Park, is the first park nationwide to demonstrate the conservation of urban soil and water. It plays an indispensable role in popularizing ecological knowledge and displaying Shenzhen’s ecological development. Participants visited the soil and water culture exhibition area, and the sponge city model display area, and learned about the efforts that the city has been making to maintain soil, water, natural vegetation, and ecosystem.

The Nanshan Energy Ecological Park, which is located in an upscale commercial and residential area, is a wow at how advanced and efficient waste incineration facilities can be harmonized with neighbouring commercial and residential areas. Overlooking the beautiful seascape under the sunset, the verdant mountain, and the urban view from the top floor of the Eco-Park, everyone was amazed.
