Make friends through games for the disabled and non-disabled
Recently, Shenzhen's first "Pengjing Cup" E-sports Game for the Disabled kicked off in Nanshan while Shenzhen's first disabled e-sports base was put into use.

Science and technology + sports support high-quality development

Thirteen disabled e-sports teams met at 4AM E-sports Club in the morning. Shenzhen's first "Pengjing Cup" E-sports Game for the Disabled was launched with the witness of Li Lun, Vice Chairman of Shenzhen Disabled Persons Federation, Wang Yuanhui, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Nanshan District Committee and Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Nanshan District Committee, and Jian Na, Deputy Head of the People's Government of Nanshan District "I hope that more people will know more about the development of e-sports for the disabled through this competition, and provide more jobs and cultural entertainment platforms for the disabled." Li Lun stated during the opening ceremony that Nanshan District, an industrial highland, has experienced a rapid development momentum in the esports industry in recent years. This has allowed the district to bring together various esports enterprises and talents and also take the lead in providing a platform for disabled esports players to showcase their abilities and fulfill their aspirations. It is hoped that the competition will seize the chance to further research into the integrated development of "sports + science and technology" for people with disabilities, to enhance the integrated development of e-sports technology, talents, industries, and public welfare projects for them, and to further the development of the disabled community in Shenzhen. According to reports, Shenzhen Disabled Persons Federation, Nanshan Disabled Persons Federation, and Culture, Broadcast, Television, Tourism, and Sports Bureau of Nanshan District jointly organized the event, which marks the first time that a total of 13 teams and 78 players have participated. The event was supported and sponsored by 4AM E-sports Club, Tencent Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., and the Shenzhen E-Sports Industry Association.

Make new friends in the exciting game

The exciting game is a feast for you and your new friends. Seventy-eight disabled e-sports players from 13 different e-sports teams from 10 different districts of Shenzhen gathered at the event. When the combat and the offline competitiveness remain intense, e-sports players have created a platform for communicating in addition to exchanging skills through heated games. The venue boasts an exciting vibe, and the disabled players also exchange with each other frequently. "In addition to the game, I made a lot of friends here because I don't normally go out and have many friends." A player shows his new friend with excitement. It is also filled with "heartwarming moments" as a unique e-sports game. The event deliberately provided a range of accessible facilities and an abundance of material support for players. The AI sign language interpreter at the opening ceremony was warmly received by those hearing-impaired players. The game attracted Zhao Ziyang, Senior Vice President of Huya Live. It left a deep impression on him. "All players have hope burning in their hearts and brightness shining in their eyes.", said Zhao Ziyang.
The average age of all players is 26 years old. The strength of live sports competitions enables young people to showcase excellence and confidence in their competitions. E-sports debuted as an official competition event at the Hangzhou Asian Games in September 2023. The goal of the "Pengjing Cup" E-sports Game for the Disabled is to use e-sports as a platform to help disabled persons better integrate into society and as a means of fostering emotional bonds among them. Baoan Team, Longgang Team 2, and Longgang Team 1 won the championship, second prize, and third prize, respectively. The champion team's spokesperson stated that they were quite appreciative of Nanshan District for offering such a unique opportunity, as it was their first experience with a warm e-sports competition, and they eagerly anticipated taking part in the next one.

Provide considerate and warm-hearted services for the disabled

In addition to being a model of an industrial highland, a center of science and technology, creative development, and advanced culture, Nanshan District offers excellent services to the disabled. To support the integration of disability and health, the Nanshan Disabled Persons Federation has recently mobilized social resources through initiatives like the Clean Life Public Welfare Plan. These initiatives include free services for cleaning household appliances, training in vocational skills, and certification for exams for over 6,000 disabled households in Nanshan. Some remarkable disabled young people have arisen, such as Shu Haifeng, the little prince of the piano with autism, and Huang Guohui, who was chosen for the national training team of the 4th Asian Para Games Hangzhou.

Furthermore, Nanshan District has organized a rich "cultural feast" for the public in addition to a thrilling e-sports competition. Nanshan District has organized multiple activities in the forms of sports, movies, street markets, and games, including the volunteer service fairs caring for the disabled themed "Inclusive Lifestyle" and the "Blooming Life and Sharing Sunshine" to bring accessible lifestyles into the public, to call on people to learn about the accessible lifestyles, and participate in and seek a new accessible lifestyle.
