A total of 13 companies from Nanshan District have made it to the list of China’s top 500 listed enterprises measured by business revenue, according to the list released by Fortune magazine on July 11.

As per the list, Nanshan companies Tencent Holdings Co. Ltd. ranks 23rd, China Merchants Shekou Industrial Zone Holdings Co. Ltd. ranks 76th, China International Marine Containers (Group) Co. Ltd. ranks 95th, and ZTE Corp. ranks 115th.

In addition, nine companies including Digital China Group Co. Ltd., Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Town Co. Ltd., Skyworth Group Co. Ltd., Shenzhen Sangda Industrial Co. Ltd., Shenzhen Transsion Holdings Co. Ltd., Shenzhen CECport Technology Co. Ltd., Shenzhen Neptunus Bioengineering Co. Ltd., Mindray Biomedical Electronics Co. Ltd., and Konka Group Co. Ltd. are also on the list.

The list is jointly compiled by Fortune magazine (Chinese version) and China International Capital Corp. (CICC). It shows that the total operating income of the 500 Chinese listed companies reached 65.8 trillion yuan (US$9.18 trillion), and the net profit amounted to 4.7 trillion yuan.

The top three leading companies on this year’s list are Sinopec, PetroChina, and China State Construction. China Railway Group ranks fourth; Ping An ranks fifth, which is the highest ranking for a private enterprise. Two other private companies, JD.com and Alibaba, are also among the top 10, of which JD.com ranks 7th and Alibaba ranks 10th.

Three car companies in the new energy vehicle industry that have entered the list are Nio Group, Li Auto, and Xpeng Motors. Among them, Nio Group ranks 263rd, Li Auto ranks 287th, and Xpeng Motors ranks 450th.

Tencent Holdings Co. Ltd. is also among the 10 most profitable companies on the list, which ranks fifth with a net profit of 188.2 billion yuan. The top four places are taken by four State-owned banks.
