The Nanshan's Overseas Chinese Exhibition Hall jointly built by the United Front Work Department of Nanshan District Committee of the CPC and the Nantou Ancient Town recently opened to the public.

The exhibition hall showcases various art installations representing overseas Chinese culture, and includes immersive video clips, old objects, and photo walls.

Themed “Looking Back at the Journey of Returning Overseas Chinese and Realizing the Chinese Dream Together,” the hall covers an exhibition area of 263 square meters and is divided into two floors.

The first floor focuses on “Journey Returning Home.” This exhibit ranges from three groups of immersive multimedia images and art installation spaces to the story wall composed of the stories of six returned overseas Chinese and their family members, namely, Chen Guanyu, Ma Jiezhang, Wu Yuguang, Liu Guolin, Liao Zhiren, and Sun Tianlu.

It vividly presents the hard work and successes of overseas Chinese in Shenzhen during the past 45 years of reform and opening up, expressing strong patriotic sentiment.

The exhibition hall’s second floor displays the stories of another 10 overseas Chinese returnees, namely, Chen Feng, Xu Mingyan, Chen Xiaofei, Liu Ke, Zhang Yuhuai, Chen Ning, Chen Ming, Xie Yingbin, Wang Mengqiu,and Liu Ruopeng, all of whom become outstanding representatives of their various fields.
