A series of Shekou Food Festival activities were officially launched at the South Gate of Xiangyueli Plaza, Shekou Old Street, in Nanshan District on July 1 and 2, and the activities will last through August.

On June 17, the event organizers issued consumer vouchers for the “Shekou Food Festival”(蛇口好食节) on the WeChat miniprogram “Leshangquan”(乐商圈), which can be used to make purchases in the market. The first round of issued consumer coupons took place on June 17, and there will be multiple rounds thereafter.

As many as 50 merchants have participated in this Shekou Food Festival, including the well-known merchants Shekou Deji Roast Meat Restaurant (蛇口德记烧腊店) and Laoguang Zhizun Beef Offal (老广至尊牛杂). In addition, Qingsong, an urban illustrator and special guest of CCTV special report, was invited to draw posters and food maps for this event. From June 17 to August 18, foodies can bring the gourmet map and consumer coupons to enjoy the delicious food in Shekou at a discount.

Themed “Enjoy the Food Festival, Shekou Happy GO!,” the market is divided into five areas: “Time-honored Brands in Shekou”(蛇口老字号), “New Forces in Shekou”(蛇口新势力),“International Shekou”(蛇口国际范),“Tea Drinks in Shekou”(蛇口有茶饮), and “Taste of Homein Shekou”(蛇口家味道).
