Starting this weekend, Shenzheners will be treated to new screenings of art films, such as Chinese touching tale “Like Father and Son” and Indian comedy “English Vinglish.”

Featuring 189 works drawn from the National Museum of China’s collections, the “Boats Floating Afar: Maritime Trade of Ancient Chinese Ceramics” exhibition examines the precious porcelains created in China for exporting to Europe and the United States.

Acclaimed domestic and international art films are being screened at Broadway Cinematheque in Nanshan District through September.

The 300,000-square-meter Zigong Lantern Carnival is now ongoing at Splendid China•China Folk Culture Villages in Nanshan District and will last until Feb. 5 next year.
