The term “summer huts” refers to simple structures designed for summer living and leisure. These huts are easily modifiable, embodying an idealized vision of utopian living, which resonates deeply with Zhou’s creative philosophy.

As a prominent figure in the contemporary Chinese art scene, Zhou’s work often focuses on reimagining everyday objects, thereby exploring the potential of diverse mediums. For instance, his sculptures are composed of commonplace items such as tripods and shelves. In his “summer huts,” visitors will find a playful arrangement of repurposed objects and paintings, offering delightful surprises at every turn.

Additionally, the exhibition will feature two hands-on remodeling workshops as part of its public program, scheduled for Oct. 19 and 26.
