Over 200 youth tennis lovers and their parents gathered at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center to enjoy a tennis weekend at the WTA Finals Shenzhen International Tennis Series Activities on June 11 and 12.

The event, supported by the Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau of Nanshan District and organized by Gemdale Sports Management (Shenzhen) Co., aimed to attract more youth in the district to experience the charm of tennis. It included five events which were both competitive and entertaining.

Several school teams registered for this International Junior Invitational Tennis Tournament. The tournament had three age levels, U10, U12 and U14, and each included male and female singles. Nearly 100 young athletes from more than ten teams of different schools including Shenzhen Bay School and Sunshine Primary School joined the tournament.

A father and his son play tennis at the Parent-Child Friendship Match this weekend.

The Parent-Child Friendship Match attracted the participation of dozens of families. Parents were partnered with their children to play in the matches.

In addition to different tennis matches, the organizer also held different activities including a tennis carnival, a ball kids reserve selection and a junior international tennis public course.
