Strolling through flower fairs is a treasured Guangdong tradition for welcoming the Spring Festival.
Ten days before the Chinese New Year, Nanshan District's flower fair officially opened on Feb. 8, featuring three main venues at Dutch Flower Town, Zhongshan Park, and Nantou Ancient Town, one subvenue along Shenzhen Bay Avenue–Shenzhen Bay Culture Square, and multiple satellite flower markets across subdistricts and major commercial areas.

A prominent installation of a leaping white horse holding a red tulip in its mouth symbolizes prosperity for the coming Year of the Horse. The venue also includes a musical fountain and iconic Dutch elements such as a large windmill, wooden shoes, and vibrant tulip fields. Excerpts from the Kunqu opera "Peony Pavilion" will be performed throughout the holiday period.

At Shenzhen Bay Culture Square, live performances of Yingge dance, lion dance, and swing dance will be presented.
In nearby Qianhai Park, five interactive music events will be held.
To facilitate travel, the district is providing shuttle buses with stops at Dutch Flower Town, Nantou Ancient Town, Houhai CBD, and Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint.
