Nanshan District has introduced three distinctive pedestrian trails, enriching the options for outdoor leisure and exploration.

Developed by the district's urban management and comprehensive law enforcement bureau, the trails are themed around history, international education, and technological innovation, catering to diverse public interests.

The Wen Tianxiang Memorial Trail spans 4.4 kilometers, starting at Zuopaotai Road. The approximately two-hour walk northward leads to Chiwan 6th Road and then east to the north gate of Wen Tianxiang Memorial Park. Along the route, historical sites like old fortifications and a statue of Lin Zexu recount the area's coastal defense history, while monuments and sculptures in the park vividly depict the life of the renowned patriotic scholar-official, Wen Tianxiang.

For a blend of academia and nature, the Xili Lake International Sciensity Trail offers a scenic 23.7-kilometer journey. A 2-kilometer demonstration section is currently open, with the remainder under construction. Starting near Changlingbei Metro Station, the trail connects landmarks such as the Southern University of Science and Technology, the ecological landscape of Bujiuwo, and Shenzhen University's "Lanyue Ridge." It also passes through traditional villages like Dakan and Wangjingkeng before linking to the Longhua Huancheng Greenway.

The Nanshan Science and Innovation Trail is a 4.6-kilometer loop starting and ending at the intersection of Liuxian Boulevard and Chuangke Road, taking about two hours to complete. This route links major innovation hubs, allowing visitors to experience firsthand the district's dynamic pulse and pioneering technological spirit.
