In a move to solidify its support for the burgeoning mini-drama sector, Nanshan District recently held a special "Enterprise Service Day" forum, bringing government officials, park management, and businesses together to align policy with industry needs.

The event, held at the Shenzhen Bay Science and Technology Ecological Park, focused on translating policy pledges into tangible benefits for companies. Mini-dramas, also known as short TV series, have become a major trend in China's digital cultural consumption.

To help businesses better understand and access available support, staff from the Shenzhen Municipal Culture, Media, Tourism and Sports Bureau provided a detailed on-site interpretation of the "Shenzhen Mini-Drama Industry Support Plan." They broke down the application requirements, funding focus areas, financial standards, and review procedures for attending enterprises.

If the municipal policy serves as a "navigation instrument," then Nanshan's measures are an "accelerator," officials suggested. Following the city-level overview, representatives from the Nanshan Enterprise Development Service Center promoted the district's broader business environment, highlighting how it uses both financial subsidies and tailored services to help content creation companies operate with less burden and scale up rapidly.

In recent years, Nanshan has actively supported the mini-drama industry. The district has issued special measures to support the cultural, tourism, and sports sectors and backed the establishment of a mini-drama base in the Wisdomland Business Park. This effort includes attracting renowned director studios and leading companies to the area, aiming to drive innovation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's film and television industry.

Nanshan has now cultivated a preliminary mini-drama industrial chain, encompassing upstream content production, mid-stream distribution, and downstream commercial derivatives like merchandise, live-streaming, and games. The district has established a solid foundation in IP supply, production, and content distribution.
