Nanshan District is transforming into a vibrant celebration of sports as it prepares for the 15th National Games and the 12th National Paralympic Games alongside the 9th National Special Olympic Games, which are set to take place this November and December across Guangdong Province and Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions.

With the prestigious multi-sport event approaching, Nanshan, as a key host district, has launched an extensive promotional campaign, installing themed posters at more than 70 high-traffic newspaper kiosks throughout the district. The initiative aims to create widespread enthusiasm for the event.

Large commercial centers including Shirble Department Store in Taoyuan Subdistrict, and Haiya Department Store and RAINBOW Building in Yuehai Subdistrict are now displaying promotional videos for the Games.

Meanwhile, prominent office complexes such as Vanke Cloud City, Han’s Laser Building, Kexing Science Park, and Sunmax Technology Park, along with community parking lots, Metro station entrances, and bus stop kiosks, have been adorned with eye-catching posters and slogans.

Mascots “Xiyangyang” and “Lerongrong,” designed after the Chinese white dolphin, are decorating streets and alleys, bringing the spirit of the Games into residents’ daily lives.

Beyond newspaper kiosks, elements of the National Games are being integrated throughout the district in various forms. Large LED screens in commercial areas like Coastal City, key locations such as Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint, and neighborhood communities are continuously broadcasting promotional videos. Metro stations such as Taoyuan and Houhai stations have set up themed photo spots.

A licensed merchandise store at Nanshan Book Mall is attracting crowds of residents, offering approximately 300 products across more than 30 categories related to the National Games.

At present, preparations and support services for the Nanshan venues of the 15th National Games are proceeding in an orderly manner.
