The 2025 World Robot Conference (WRC) opened in Beijing on Aug. 8. A group of enterprises in Nanshan District participated in the conference with their most advanced technology, demonstrating the high quality and extensive applications of China’s intelligent manufacturing.

UBTECH Robotics, China’s first listed company specializing in humanoid robots, was a focus at the 2025 WRC. This Nanshan enterprise attended the conference with its five advanced products covering various scenarios including industry, commerce, scientific research, and companionship.

Cruzr S2, UBTECH’s full-sized universal wheeled humanoid robot, made its debut right at this conference. Capable of threading through complex environments, transporting in a full space and operating with sub-millimeter precision, the robot can perform multiple tasks like sorting, handling, production, assembly, drug transfer, and guiding, thereby improving the operational efficiency of the users.

Walker S2, claimed to be the world’s first humanoid robot able to change battery by itself, also made its appearance at the conference. The robot is capable of changing the battery as fast as three minutes and operating 24/7.

UBTECH’s Walker C, which served as a tour guide in the China Pavilion of Expo 2025 Osaka, along with the full-scale scientific-grade Tien Kung, was exhibited at this conference.

Also showcased was UBTECH’s self-developed fifth-generation dexterous hand, which is endowed with fine manipulation and strong load-bearing performance by 19 active degrees of freedom, with a gripping load of up to 10 kilograms.

UBTECH's humanoid robot swarm intelligence technology is equally impressive. Eleven Walker S1, the model widely used by factories worldwide, collectively completed varied tasks such as precise identification, collaborative operation and sorting.

DOBOT, another high-tech enterprise headquartered in Nanshan, unveiled its second-generation embodied AI humanoid robot DOBOT Atom at the 2025 WRC. This newly launched robot can be applied in various scenarios.

For instance, in commerce and daily life, the robot can function with stability, flexibility, and zero error. It is an expert in making pop corns, lemon tea and claypot rice, adept at interacting with human beings in different ways.

Astribot brought its Astribot S1 to the 2025 WRC. The robot can act as a domestic helper, business assistant and cultural co-creator, performing well in breakfast preparing, baggage packing, coffee brewing (within millimeter-level precision) and Chinese lacquer fan co-making.

RoboSense, a company that develops intelligent sensors and robotics for various applications, also took part in the 2025 WRC with its “Active Camera” platform. The platform not only displayed the released AC1 and AI-Ready ecosystem, but also showcased RoboSense’s new product AC2, which is expected to be released in the second half of the year.
