Intel has officially kicked off the 2025 Intel Artificial Intelligence Innovation Application Competition at its Greater Bay Area Innovation Center.
The event, hosted by the Intel China Open Source Technology Committee and Intel’s Greater Bay Area Innovation Center, is supported by industry giants including Lenovo, HP, and Tencent Appstore, aiming to help enterprises and developers showcase their creativity and validate AI achievements through competitive challenges.
The competition offers comprehensive technical support, ranging from zero-code solutions to deep customization, to foster the growth and development of high-quality individuals and teams in the AI field. It also aims to incubate AI application projects and provide a fast-track to market for developers’ AI solutions.
This year’s competition maintains its dual tracks for individuals and enterprises, each with categories for “consumer and commercial fields” and “vertical industries and application fields.” The competition covers a wide range of AI application scenarios, including generative AI, allowing contestants to choose their direction based on their strengths.
For the first time, the competition includes a youth division, introducing the “Future Star Award” to inspire outstanding young developers and cultivate the next generation of AI talent. Participants will not only compete with their peers but also engage with industry leaders.
The competition’s prize pool is valued at up to one million yuan (US$138,181). A new “Intel Platform Practice Award” has been added in the preliminary stage, offering the top 2,000 teams that use Intel-recommended software and hardware tools to implement AI prototypes on the Intel platform a reward worth 200 yuan. This award can be combined with other competition awards on a first-come, first-served basis.
The enterprise and individual tracks will award four major prizes: grand prize, first prize, second prize, and third prize, with a maximum single prize of 150,000 yuan.
Additional prestigious awards include the “Entrepreneurship Award,” “Organization Award,” “Special Award,” “Business Value Award,” and six categorized awards that are backed by industry leaders such as Intel, Lenovo, HP, Tencent Appstore, and Coze.
According to the head of Intel’s Greater Bay Area Innovation Center, the launch of the 2025 Intel Artificial Intelligence Innovation Application Competition in Nanshan is a tremendous opportunity for enterprises to embrace AI. The robust incubation resources at the center will provide ongoing support for exceptional AI projects, enabling good ideas to flourish in Nanshan, ultimately transforming into tangible productivity.
