The Jordan national team arrived at the Eintracht Frankfurt (Shenzhen Nanshan) Soccer Training Center on the afternoon of Feb 8. This marked the first time a national-level team has utilized the state-of-the-art facilities since the center's opening in November 2024. The team is in Shenzhen to prepare for the AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2025, a prestigious youth tournament set to commence from Feb. 12 to March 1.

The Eintracht Frankfurt (Shenzhen Nanshan) Soccer Training Center, nestled within Dasha River Park, boasts an 11-a-side and an 8-a-side soccer field, along with comprehensive amenities including changing rooms, conference rooms, and power rooms. The center, which meets the FIFA Quality Pro standard for artificial turf, is designed to cater to the training needs of professional youth soccer teams and host top-tier soccer events in the district.

The Jordanian national team, a formidable presence in Asian soccer, has been making strides on the international stage. They are set to face Saudi Arabia, North Korea, and Iraq in the group stage matches of the AFC U20 Asian Cup from Feb. 13 to 19.

Head coach Peter Meindertsma expressed his satisfaction with the training environment, stating, "The field here is exceptional, with professional artificial turf and first-class facilities. The serene environment of the park is ideal for our training. We're delighted to have the opportunity to train here and believe that anyone who plays soccer can appreciate this field."

The training center's completion in November 2024 symbolizes the deepening cooperation between Nanshan and Eintracht Frankfurt Football Club. Since the strategic cooperation framework agreement in June 2021 and the subsequent service agreement with Nanshan Foreign Language School (Group) in July 2021, the partnership has focused on youth soccer training and coach development.

Moreover, the collaboration extends beyond soccer, fostering comprehensive exchanges and cooperation between Nanshan and European partners, particularly Germany, in various fields such as economy, culture, education, commerce, and technology. As the project enters its second phase of a three-year cooperation plan, the upcoming Frankfurt (Shenzhen Nanshan) International Exchange Center is poised to further broaden the scope of collaboration for all involved parties.
