The event, meticulously organized by the Nanshan District Education Bureau, has not only deepened the students' understanding of American culture but also showcased the new charm of traditional Chinese culture through innovative means.
During their stay in the U.S., the students immersed themselves in American campuses, attending classes and engaging in discussions with local students. They broadened their horizons by visiting famous cultural landmarks and technology centers, experiencing the vibrant American multiculturalism and technological innovation.
The highlight of the exchange was the innovative club created by Nanshan students, which skillfully combined electronic programming with traditional Spring Festival elements to produce electronic dragon and lion dances. These works, integrating modern technology and traditional culture, demonstrated Nanshan's strength in technological innovation and injected new vitality into the dissemination of Chinese culture.
Before their departure, the students studied the traditional cultural knowledge of Nanshan intangible cultural heritage and organized related activities in the form of clubs. Their goal was to enhance cultural exchange and promote understanding between the two countries.
The delegation celebrated the Spring Festival of the Year of the Snake by organizing a series of traditional Chinese cultural events. They invited American teachers, students, and local residents to join in the festivities. The electronic dragon and lion dances, in particular, drew widespread attention and admiration. Through these performances, the American audience experienced the joy and excitement of the Chinese Spring Festival.
Many American friends who participated in the event have developed a strong interest in Chinese culture and expressed their desire for more opportunities to learn about China.
