Lawmakers in Nanshan District will have their annual meeting, the fifth session of the eighth Nanshan District People’s Congress, between Jan. 15 and 16, according to the 25^th meeting of the eighth Standing Committee of the Nanshan District People’s Congress.

The meeting was presided over by Cheng Zhenghua, director of the Standing Committee of the Nanshan District People’s Congress on the morning of Jan. 13.

The lawmakers will deliberate the district government’s work report, review the report on the implementation of the 2024 plan and the draft plan for the district’s economic and social development in 2025 during the annual session.

The agenda will also include a review of the report on the execution of the local budgets for 2024 and the draft local budgets for 2025, among other staple documents.

The district’s candidate projects for improving people’s well-being in 2025 will also be deliberated during the meeting, where lawmakers will vote on such projects.

At present, Nanshan has a total of 352 lawmakers.
