In a bid to bolster its global presence and cultural exchange, Nanshan District hosted a momentous event at Shenzhen Talent Park on Sept. 27 to unveil its new image identification system and the launch of the 2024 Nanshan International Cultural Exchange Season.
The new logo of Nanshan, a symbol of the district's progressive spirit, is creatively designed around the initial letter "N" and the number "1" from the Pinyin of "Nanshan." The logo, resembling two upward arrows, is intended to reflect the district's enterprising courage and youthful vitality. Huang Xiangyue, secretary of the CPC Nanshan District Committee, described the logo as a window that opens up to the panoramic picture of Nanshan's aspirations and achievements.
"The release of this image identification system symbolizes our commitment to reaching new heights and our relentless pursuit of progress," said Huang during his speech.
The event also marked the launch of the Nanshan urban area super IP co-branding plan. In a trial operation phase, Nanshan will partner with 12 local enterprises to create a unique blend of "urban brand+enterprise brand" through cross-border collaboration.
Highlighting Nanshan's international focus, Huang emphasized the need for a global perspective, noting the district's increasing international footprint and the impression it leaves on visitors as a "district of the future." To further this international engagement, the 2024 Nanshan International Cultural Exchange Season was introduced with a video presentation, outlining a series of 30 cultural exchange activities from September to December, including the Shenzhen-Hong Kong International Choral Week and the Sino-French Art Exchange Night.
Nanshan, known for its high level of internationalization, hosts residents from 155 countries and regions, making it a melting pot of cultures. The district has been proactive in its international construction, recently establishing an internationalization construction working group to expedite the implementation of related projects.
Looking ahead, Nanshan aims to consolidate its efforts in promoting internationalization across the region, ensuring the successful execution of projects that will enhance the district's role in Shenzhen's efforts in driving Chinese modernization.
