The 2024 Paris Olympics is on the cusp of commencement, with sports delegations from around the globe touching down in Paris, France.

The 184 boarding bridges constructed by China International Marine Containers (Group) Co. Ltd. (CIMC), an enterprise from Nanshan District, is facilitating swift and efficient passage for athletes at the Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport and the Orly Airport, demonstrating the might of “Nanshan Manufacturing” on a global scale.

This marks the second significant contribution by CIMC in facilitating top-tier international sporting events, having previously supported the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, and the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games.

This marks the second occasion where CIMC Equipment has had a pivotal role in facilitating major international sporting events, following its successful involvement in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, and the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games.

According to reports, the two French airports are bracing for a surge of up to 350,000 daily transits during the Olympic Games, including the majority of athletes, delegation members, Olympic committee specialists, and media personnel.

Among the early arrivals were the members of China’s table tennis team, who landed in Paris via the Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport on July 15.

Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, Europe’s second-largest international aviation hub, boasts 113 of CIMC’s boarding bridges. Similarly, CIMC has supplied over 90% of the boarding bridges at the Orly Airport, France’s second-largest passenger airport, with a total of 71 bridges.

To guarantee the secure functioning of the boarding bridges throughout the Olympics, the resident airport project team of CIMC Tianda, a subsidiary of CIMC, has redoubled their efforts by augmenting manpower, intensifying inspection schedules, bolstering spare parts inventory. It is also working in close collaboration with the airport authorities to enhance response efficiency.

As a recognized “world champion” in boarding bridge manufacturing, CIMC Tianda has exported its expertise globally, having provided or soon to deliver over 10,000 boarding bridges to 419 airports in 89 countries and regions across five continents.

This impressive footprint has not only facilitated global connectivity but also served as a shining example of Chinese manufacturing on the world stage.

In parallel, the professional event service support team and an array of competition equipment from Nanshan company Taishan Sports Industry (Shenzhen) Group Co. Ltd. have also arrived in Paris, providing a formidable backbone for the Paris Olympics.

The company’s commitment to excellence is evident as this marks their seventh service to the Olympic Games. Their Paris Olympic Games event service support team, comprising more than 10 engineers, arrived in Paris on July 2 to deliver one-stop professional services.

Prior to this, over 10,000 pieces of equipment for sports like wrestling, judo, boxing, cycling, and triathlon, produced by Taishan Sports, had already been delivered to various competition venues in Paris, ensuring the games’ readiness for action.
