The first hundred-meter ultra-high
data command center in the country,
the Qianhai Information Hub Building project,
was officially completed recently!
This also marks that
"Shenzhen Qianhai Smart Brain"
is coming soon
New technology assists in smart construction, creating an ultra-high data center.
As the first ultra-high data center in the country, the Qianhai Information Hub Building project has broken free from the traditional image of low-rise data centers and boldly innovated and practiced in intensive land use, energy consumption control, low-carbon development, and smart construction to be an innovative breakthrough in the construction of large-scale Class A data centers in high-density CBD areas in China.
The Qianhai Information Hub Building, designed as an ultra-high data center, is like a "giant computer". The main building is 112.15 meters high, with a standard floor height of 5.5 meters. The load for the data room floor is 12-16kN/m², 4–6 times that of a normal ultra-high office building, while the 25-meter ultra-deep foundation pit is the first civil building in the Qianhai area supported by deep foundation pit diaphragm walls.
In order to anchor the features of ultra-high and large-span structures and meet the requirements of super-large loads, the building continuously overcame new challenges in the design and construction process.
Chen Xiangluan, the on-site person in charge of the construction and development of China Construction First Group, Construction & Development Co, Ltd., stated: "The Qianhai Information Hub Building project is located on the Lingdingyang Bay filled by land reclamation, with a very limited construction site. During the construction process, the project team used an automated monitoring platform for the foundation pit to monitor any tiny changes in deformation in real time throughout the entire process effectively."
The Qianhai Information Hub Building project was completed and accepted as a whole on November 29, half a year ahead of the original schedule, powerfully ensuring the operation of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong artificial intelligence computing power center in Qianhai.
Building a Green Data Center Driving Digital Cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong
The construction of the Qianhai Information Hub Building has always adhered to the concept of green and low-carbon, adopting green construction technology throughout the entire lifecycle from design to construction, actively employing energy-saving and low-carbon new technologies to make the data center more "green," with higher energy efficiency and lower energy consumption.
By following the concept of a fully enclosed "insulated box" design, this project places the data center functions in the central part of the building plan to create a constant temperature and humidity "healthy" environment, achieving building energy savings. An underground space houses a centralized cooling station, using electricity to "shave peaks and fill valleys" to improve energy utilization.
With the data center as the main body, the Qianhai Information Hub Building is equipped with 3,920 server racks (1,374 in Phase I, 2,546 in Phase II), supporting area cooling stations, postal branches, and the Qianhai Urban Management and Operations Center, among other important functions. Once completed, it will integrate new technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and blockchain.
You Junxia, Design Director of the Infrastructure Division of Qianhai Construction & Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd., said that the communication infrastructure, e-commerce, and logistics construction in the Qianhai Cooperation Zone will be further improved after the project is put into use, as well as the attractiveness of Qianhai to science, technology, and financial enterprises, and the Qianhai Cooperation Zone's new breakthroughs will be made in data aggregation, processing, services, and innovation, effectively connecting with international high-standard digital economic rules.
The completion and operation of the Qianhai Information Hub Building project will effectively promote the functional upgrade of Shenzhen's international information exchange hub and enhance the overall, systematic, and coordinated development of digital Qianhai.
In the future, the Qianhai Information Hub Building project will also effectively drive digital cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong and facilitate the computing power level of Shenzhen and Hong Kong to better serve the digital economic development of Qianhai, establish the underlying infrastructure for the "digital Qianhai", and help Qianhai build a new center of the world-class bay area city.
