Two district-level wetland parks, namely the Dasha River Ecological Corridor Jiuxiangling Wetland Park and the Qianhai Stone Park Guiwan River Corridor Wetland Park, were unveiled in Nanshan District on May 30.
Nanshan boasts unique wetland resources. According to the latest survey on wetland resources in Shenzhen, the district's wetland area exceeds 150 square kilometers, with the vast majority being shallow sea wetlands and the remaining being river and lake wetlands.
The Jiuxiangling Wetland Park starts from the Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School in the north and ends at Zhuguang Road in the south, with a total length of about 2 kilometers. The total planned area is 360 mu (about 24 hectares), where the water area is about 68 mu (4.5 hectares), accounting for about one-fifth of the planned area.

The wetland park is a strip-like urban park with green spaces on both sides of the river and is an important part of the Dasha River Ecological Corridor and the Shenzhen Bay urban greening cluster.
Protection, restoration and reconstruction of the wetland ecosystem will be carried out in the wetland park to repair the wetland ecosystem, improve the wetland’s water purification capacity and achieve the goal of reducing or treating eutrophication.
The Qianhai Stone Park Guiwan River Corridor Wetland Park is located between Qianhai’s Guiwan and Qianwan areas and on Qianhai's central axis. It is the first water corridor park constructed in the Qianhai Cooperation Zone.
