A major New Year promotional campaign kicked off in Nanshan District on Nov. 25, with the district’s commerce bureau teaming up with major e-commerce platforms including JD.com, Taobao, Tmall, and Douyin to offer over 100 million yuan (US$14 million) in consumer benefits.

In partnership with JD.com, the Nanshan District Commerce Bureau is providing 100 million yuan in direct subsidies. Shoppers can get a 10% discount, up to 1,000 yuan off per order, on eight major home appliance categories like refrigerators, washing machines, and televisions.

A 5% discount, capped at 500 yuan per order, is available on seven types of electronic products, including mobile phones and tablets. A dedicated “Nanshan Featured Products” hall has also been set up on the platform. Consumers can access the deals by searching “南山消费券” (Nanshan Consumption Voucher) on the JD.com app, with discounts applied directly at checkout.

From now until Dec. 31, searching “南山贺岁” (Nanshan New Year) on Taobao’s homepage will take users to the Miaosuda activity page for discounted goods. Time-limited vouchers offer up to 20% off, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The promotion covers a wide range of items, from full-series home appliances to popular digital products like smartphones, drones, and smart wearables, as well as newer categories such as AI tech and elderly-friendly appliances.

On Tmall Supermarket’s “Nanshan New Year Voucher” zone, shoppers can find everything from snacks and daily essentials to digital electronics and jewelry. Vouchers can be acquired by searching “南山消费券” (Nanshan Consumption Voucher) on the Tmall Supermarket homepage, with various tiers available, such as 5 yuan off 88 yuan, 20 yuan off 200 yuan, and 220 yuan off 4,000 yuan.

Furthermore, a “Nanshan New Year” voucher campaign on Douyin Life Service is now live, offering discounts like 8 yuan off 30 yuan and 100 yuan off 500 yuan to cover various spending scenarios. Users can search “南山消费券” (Nanshan Consumption Voucher) on Douyin to enter the main activity page, claim the vouchers, and have the discounts automatically applied during payment, alongside other platform promotions.
